Contributions and Dedication
William R. Moon
wrote the book
"One Line of the Moon Family from Virginia to Alabama"
This book is chock full of details and information on the Moon line
that starts with Stephen Moon Sr. (b. 1655 d. 1713) in St. Peters Parish, VA.
Photographs and data from his work and his files grace these pages.
The amount of information I present on the Moon line would be much
more limited if not for the hard work and dedication of William, and it
is for that reason this recognition of his work is here on the
Moon Family Line of Philsgenes.org.
Contributions
There are many people involved in this project. Each one is working away on their own, and stops to take time to help out someone (like me) who is still very new to this genealogy undertaking. So this is my thanks to them.
Jim Moon for material on my branch of the Moon clan. That would include some of the stories of Confederate spy and genteel soul Lottie Moon and her sister Ginny.
Lassie Jo Simms for providing material that was mined by William R. Moon and for information on the Pace Line.
Kathy and Ben Moon for providing many photographs of the Moon family.
Kelly Jane O'Hara who provided the information on the Gideon Moon lineage. She did all the research on that branch of the Moon clan.
Roberta Grimaldi sent me some wonderfull material on the Moon's of Albemerle. Her line of the family runs along the William Moon b. 1720 branch.
Robert L. Shacklett provided material on his clan as well as the Moon Clan.
Jim Sexton was the first online source that I came across. He provided me with my first GEDCOM file and the information that comes along with it.
Ardath Lenore Hagar has provided much important material on both the Staples line and the Mandley line.
Sally Moon has provided wonderful assistance on the Lynch Family (See Gideon Moon).
John Evans Pace III for gedcom input on the Pace family.
Once again, thanks to all of the above and any I have forgotten to mention.
